This pub was previously called the Fighting Cocks. We're not really sure why it was renamed to The Swallows Nest, but it's certainly one of the few pubs to have stood the test of time in Romsley.

A previous landlady apparently hunts the cellars but we suspect this is to attract ghost hunters as no ghost has ever really been seen. Although if you hang around the bar for long enough enjoying the pints of the real ale it's more likely apparitions will start to appear before your eyes.
