It can't be proven 100 per cent but we have good reason to think that the Queens Head in Stepney may have been the inspiration for the Queen Vic in Eastenders. It's typical East End local pub in an early 19th Century square, and the pub is a Grade II listed building.
The Queens Head's other claim to fame is that the Queen Mother paid us a visit some years ago in 1987 and not only did she pull a pint of famous Young's Special, but she also polished it off remarking "Never mind the champagne, this is much better." If darts are your thing we have regular matches and we have both a ladies team and a mens team. We've also got a lovely courtyard which is both covered and heated so you can sit outside all year round. reserve an area for your functions
