Good pubs in Compton Berkshire including gastro pubs and boutique pubs & Inns to stay.
Anyone familar with the M4 will know that it can be busy any time of the day but just off J13 of the M4 and along the A34 you'll find Compton, a small leafy town with a few traditional pubs. All the pubs offer small function rooms but it's the Swan with hotel facilities. The rooms at the Swan are not cheap so if you are after cheap rooms it's best to search in advance for deals. The Swan does have merits, namely being close to Newbury race course and sitting on the Ridgeway path making it ideal for walkers. The food was exceptional during our visit last year. But there are several pubs to choose from within a 5 mile radius of Compton
