Good pubs in Sawdon North Yorkshire including gastro pubs and boutique pubs & Inns to stay.
Sawdon
Sawdon is well placed for access onto the A64 and the ancient city of York, as well as the Yorkshire coast resorts of Whitby, Scarborough and Filey also known as the Dinosaur Coast because of the cliffs and beaches rich in fossils. There is a pub here but the last time we visited it was closed.
The Anvil Inn is situated in the little village of Sawdon, 1.5 miles north of the A170 tourist route which links the market town of Thirsk in the west with the seaside resort of Scarborough in the east. The village is on the edge of Wykeham Forest with its stunning viewpoint over Dalby Dale -all in all it is beautiful walking country.
